Hurricane Preparation and Storm Response
Pre-season readiness, shutter and opening protection, site securing ahead of landfall, and debris and damage response after.
A plan signed in May is worth more than a call in September.
Every Florida commercial property needs a storm plan, and the properties that recover fastest are the ones that signed one before the season started. Once a named storm enters the forecast cone, contractor availability collapses.
Before the season we walk the property, document roof and drainage condition, identify loose exterior elements, verify shutter and opening protection, and put a written action plan in place with your contacts and our dispatch sequence.
Ahead of landfall we secure the site: remove or anchor exterior furniture and signage, clear drains and gutters, stage protection, and trim trees away from structures. After the storm we handle debris removal, water intrusion response, board-up and tarping, generator coordination, and the photo documentation your insurer will require.
Priority response is assigned to clients with a pre-season agreement on file. That is the entire reason to sign one in the spring.
Common questions
When should we put a storm plan in place?
Before June 1. Hurricane season runs June through November, and availability tightens sharply once a storm is named.
Do existing clients get priority after a storm?
Yes. Clients with a pre-season agreement are dispatched first, in an order agreed in advance based on facility criticality.
Do you document damage for insurance?
Yes. We photograph conditions before and after and provide a written report suitable for a claim.
